Challenges with Team Collaboration

Hi,

I’m using the Starter plan with 2 team seats, and I’ve noticed some significant limitations when trying to collaborate effectively with my team:

  1. When two people are editing at the same time, the other user’s mouse cursor often disrupts the workflow, making it challenging to work efficiently.
  2. There doesn’t seem to be any functionality for creating branches or managing project versioning, which is critical for teamwork.

With these issues, it’s quite difficult to work collaboratively as a team. Could you please clarify the best way to use the platform in a team environment? Are there any plans to improve collaboration features or introduce tools like branching/versioning in the future?

Introducing version control / backups was the first step toward WeWeb eventually adding branching. Initially estimated for Q3 - Q4 of 2024, I’m assuming branching will now likely follow AI component generation (coming any day now!), AI workflow generation, and the release of the new components. Progress is being made!

@aurelie @Slavo any update on timing of branches? our team is expanding to bring more clients to WeWeb (!!!) and being able to isolate development for deployment of smaller features will be super important.

Hello! It is on the roadmap, it is pretty high up and it is going to happen, just not sure about the timing.
