Canonical for root domain

Hey guys, I was just wondering, how to redirect www. to non www.? This is crucial part for correct SEO approach but unfortunately I did not find anything other than redirects, which dont really help. Without this, the non www. version is sending blank page. Thanks a lot !

I ran into this exact same issue. You have to set up redirect rules in your DNS provider to redirect the non www versions (all pages of it) to the www version of the site.

Exactly what @raelyn mentioned.

Our apps are hosted on AWS, which doesn’t accept naked (root) domains. You’ll need to setup the redirection on your registrar from naked (@) to www.

Most registrars allow this. SEO-wise, it’s totally fine. Google will play nice if you redirect naked to www or vice-versa.

Thanks, I solved it with my domain registrar.
