Upload apple-app-site-association (AASA) in Weweb

Hello,

I would like to ask if it is currently possible to upload the apple-app-site-association file for Apple Universal Links in WeWeb. Specifically, I need to make sure it can be hosted under the same subdomain as the web app (in my case, www.), with the correct content headers set to application/json, and without the .json file extension.

The url should look like this: https://www.example.com/apple-app-site-association

I just want to make sure I’m not overlooking any possible solutions before building somewhat of a workaround with custom URL schemes.

Only a part of this can be currently achieved, afaik, you can set a custom path to your file in the File Editor. The issue with this approach probably comes when you need to set up the application/json headers, which again afaik, WeWeb doesn’t support.

If @broberto’s proposed solution doesn’t handle the phone detecting the change, you could also solve this through self-hosting and owning the deployment infrastructure. The price is really moving to an annual plan and then taking on a few steps to drive the export. A number of State Change members have done this to take advantage of Weweb’s editor while gaining control of some key hosting feature.

Thank you both for taking the time to clear things up
