Is it possible to upload multiple custom sitemaps with differrent path on Weweb?

Hi all, I would like to upload multiple custom sitemaps on Weweb with different path like the below:

SitemapA: /sitemap.xml
SitemapB: /details_sitemap.xml

Is that possible? Has anyone tried this?

Thanks I also have read this document but when I did, I was under the impression that if I upload multiple sitemaps, Weweb pick one of those and set its path to “/sitemap.xml” automatically.

So I was not sure if we could have different paths (/sitemp.xml and /details_sitemap.xml) exist with.xml extention together.

Did you try this actually?

The help docs are just suggesting you set it to sitemap.xml so it overwrites the default auto-generated sitemap, but that’s not required.

no it doesn’t set it automatically, you have to change the path to /sitemap.xml (the main sitemap) to overwrite it. for more sitemap files, you can also just upload them and then just copy the link by clicking the button to use it in google search console or similar. you don’t even need to set a path for the secondary sitemap. just adjust the name of the file accordingly before uploading and then use it.

For anyone who are interested, here are what I found out (confused me initially):

  • you can upload multiple sitemaps and set whatever path under the custom domain
  • when you copy the path on “File” page, it looks like its on weweb domain but once you publish the project, it will be under custom domain if you set the custom path.
