How to create static collection pages from static collections (no eligible data) and size limit

I press on the left menu add collection and then static collection. The form asks you for page name, collection, path, and copy page from. The page name is provided and when I try to pick one of my static collections to bind to the collections field, I get a message saying that there is no eligible data.

That is in spite of the fact that three static collections have been created and are visible in the menu. (10MB in all). Curious about what the data must be like to be eligible.

Also I’m trying to understand why there’s a 25MB limit for the totality of static collections - seems like data from a table with 10K rows and 5-10 text fields would easily reach that quota.

Hi @davhad
Can you share what your Static collections look like? And what Source did you use?

The collections are coming from the sql connector which connects with a postgres db and successfully loads data in the data view. Initally I was seeing preview data but now that I try again to send you the screenshot that data isn’t available as you can see in the screenshot. Yet again it’s taking up space in the collection size quota.

Note that when data was appearing in the data collections fetching flow, I still got no eligible data in various places where I expected

5 days since getting a paid account, this remains a blocking issue for me in my project where static collections (and as a result collection pages) cannot be made to work.

Hey @davhad
That looks like a bug indeed.
Have you submitted a support ticket? https://support.weweb.io/

@jptrinh thanks for that link, submitted one now! Btw, was wondering if you have any idea where the 25MB hard limit is coming from? Feels very limiting in terms of the number of static pages created…

Filed a bug report about this 4 days ago, and have no clue about the status as I’ve yet to receive an acknowledgement or have anyone get back to me… @Joyce @jptrinh

Hi @davhad

Can you confirm you are referring to the “SQL Connector Static collections fetching failure” ticket?

Looking at our records, it looks like the team provided feedback earlier today. Please note that it sometimes takes us a little longer to answer tickets that do not impact an app in production.

Hey Joyce, I don’t remember exactly what I called the bug report but it sounds like it could be it speciallly if it’s my name on it since I only filed one.

I re-checked my emails and I have no updates about it in my inbox.

Hey again Joyce,

I went there again now, and see a comment. Note that if you hadn’t mentioned it here there would have been no way for me to know.

Now that the comment was written, I have no way to respond and must update the ticket with the response. Maybe the team can benefit to move to Github issues or similar? Seems that this can lead to lots of miscommunication.

Agreed. We’re working on a v2 of our ticketing app to improve communication.
