Hi all, my name is Jacob and I’m not great at frontend. I’m hoping that WeWeb can change that!
I’m actually on the lookout for an experienced WeWeb dev to help us build out the foundation of our web portal. We’re going to learn it ourselves over time, but we want to move fast, do it the right way from the start, and learn as we go. We’re all good on the backend side, just the frontend needs to be moved.
Our first goal is to replace the ‘Configurations’ page of our web portal, as shown here: Loom | Free Screen & Video Recording Software | Loom. As explained in the video, the ‘Configurations’ page is relatively straightforward. There are ~10 types of widgets that we use - dropdown, boolean on/off, textbox, etc. Each page displays a handful of different widgets, whose details are passed in by a YAML/JSON file. We simply need to render this page and all its different widgets to start, then add more widget types and make it dynamic over time!
If this project goes well. we’re looking to move the rest of our business portal to WeWeb - and really iterate on it to make it great. We’d love for the no-code developer to work with us for the long-term on a project basis, + non-urgent support where needed.
If needed, the no-code developer will write custom components if required - which we’re hoping will be infrequent.
