Can I change the URL that my app deploys to? (The wewebpreview one)

Hey guys, I shared the url of my webapp with some people but it still needs a lot of work. Can I publish to a different URL for now. I would like to inactivate the URL I shared.

(It currently deploys to [long string] XYZ.weweb-preview.io/ )

Hey,

An app can only have one URL (2 max, one for staging and one for production environments if your plan has access to staging).

To have a different URL, you’ll need to add your own domain.

Thanks Quentin. It makes sense to have only one (I don’t need an additional one), but a couple of questions:

  1. could I get the production URL changed (ie a different long string preceding the weweb-preview portion)?
  2. is a different URL issued each time I publish?
  3. If I started over in a new project, would the URL be different?

  1. No, it’s not possible at the moment
  2. No, it’s always the same (in fact, it’s the UUID of your project, the same one you can see in the editor :wink: )
  3. Yes, each project has a different ID
