Deploy / publish to PWA

Hi,

I’m new to Weweb and trying some things.
I just created a new project with only one simple text.

Then I enabled PWA and added a 512x515 icon.

When I then click on deploy > publish I only get this URL :

https://c9027170-c610-4613-8767-dae11ce2a193.weweb-preview.io/

Because of the weweb-preview part, I don’t think this is the correct URL.
And on my Android-phone, I don’t get the option to install it as an app.

So my questions:

  • is this a correct url (with the “preview”-text
  • how to make this url installable.

I read the documentation (Mobile apps (PWA) | Documentation) :wink:

And I saw this doc (Deployments | Documentation) but I don’t find the Publish to staging or Publish to production button

Or is this not possible in the free plan?

I can see it. Have you tried doing something like a different browser? Maybe Chrome?

I tried with Duckduckgo.

Now with Chrome, I don’t automatically get the question to install, but when I choose “add to homescreen” then Chrome can install the PWA.

Very satisfied :wink:

there is an issue in Weweb where it has to add screenshots for the PWA so it can promote for you the install app, you can see this in the terminal and you can see the error
