I saw this project by on linkedin that really caught my eye and I couldn’t help but wonder could something like that be replicated using weweb ? So I jumped in, tried to replicate it, explored a few different approaches, and ended up building a custom component.
its still a work in progress, but it already shows that yes, it’s possible in weweb. My favourite part is the freeform section, where you can reposition images almost like a mood‑board.
I believe this component has real potential I’m already imagining it evolving into a travel‑app. With a backend like Xano , it could let users manage memories and plans, and even integrate AI to suggest destinations or trip ideas based on past memories or images saved in the canvas.
If you’re curious: check it out, play around with it, and let me know what you think. What features would you like to see? How could you use this in your WeWeb projects?
Looks nice! I did something similar with Supabase’s realtime. It was sticky notes on a canvas like this, where each added sticky note was streaming changes to all connected parties. There also was presence for the users you could try sprinkling some Xano Realtime on your version too. Could be cool.
awesome! i’m a weweb beginner and will soon need to build a whiteboard and haven’t found any type of tutorials for that, but seeing your mood-board shows me it’s possible
