(SORRY I AM STUPID AND WAS UPSET FOR NO REASON. THE BELOW IS FALSE AND MISLEADING.)
Hi all. If I am not mistaken, it seems the Weweb team made some changes to how raw code exports happen on paid plans.
Here are some seemingly out of date docs (https://docs.weweb.io/settings-billing-code-export/hosting-and-code-export.html) which seems to imply that I can export the raw files for my latest deployment on any paid plan with a yearly commitment. Can also attach as PDF in case the team updates the docs upon seeing this post.
I initially chose Weweb because of the flexibility it gave me with respect to code exports. But now, the basic paid tier (even with a yearly commit) seems to only give me access to an export from 3 months ago. I made a lot of changes since then. The doc above seems to suggest that I could export any deployment version. But that doesn’t seem to be the case anymore:
Please correct me if I am mistaken. But this type of predatory behavior is very disappointing to see. I guess I’ll be using Weweb only until my yearly commit is up. No need to further entrench myself in tech debt.
