[Self-hosting] Downloading my project's files

Hello, I’m attempting to download my project’s files in order to just have a look at the new code that is supposedly improved since the last update - and doesn’t require WeWeb server.

I’d like to just download the files and keep my WeWeb app running on the WeWeb’s AWS, would that be possible? Now it throws errors about weweb-server at me, which if I understood right is redundant?

Hi Broberto!

Yes, the weweb-server is now redundant. You should now be able to download and host your WeWeb app where ever you want now.

The warning may be a bug on our side. Let me check with the team and get back to you on that one.

As a side note, what code improvement are you referring to? If you’re thinking of the cleaner DOM with less wrappers, it’s not out yet.

Hey hi! I meant the site speed and the redundancy of the weweb-server which is super cool. Thanks for looking into it, I actually need it to write a blog about offline WeWeb apps which I hopefully manage to make happen - once I’m able to export the code.

I think you’re looking at the wrong place, the code export is there, I think we should rename the Self-Hosting tab or make it clear it’s only for people using the weweb-server for self hosting

Yeah, I definitely might. Thanks. Are you starting a betting site?
