Publishing App query

Hi,

This is my first time publishing an app (to be used for testing) and according to the docs - Publishing your application | Documentation , when I click the sequence should be

Click Publish

Choose Publish your App which will then give 2 options

  • Publish to Staging

  • Publish to Production

but when I do not get these options; I just get a message saying that it is being published.

Would appreciate any help.

Thanks

Hey Steve :waving_hand:

The option to publish to staging is not available on all plans. It’s available as an add-on on “Frontend only”, “Launch+” and “Grow+” cloud plans and included in the “Scale+” plan.

If you’re on a free plan, you should see this:

You can check what plan your project is on in the “Plans & billings” tab of your workspace:

Ok. I’m on the Essential plan.

Is there a detailed feature list of the 3 plans - Free, Essential and Pro?

Also, what is the difference between these and WeWeb cloud? And how to you subscribe to a WeWeb Cloud plan as there is no option to select them?

Thanks

Steve

@steste Hi Steve, yes you can find the detailed features of the workspace plans and the WeWeb Cloud plans on our website: https://pricing.weweb.io/

The workspace plans let you build the app inside WeWeb (in the Editor) or from the outside (using the MCP server from your existing AI subscription.

If you want to export the code of your app and host it elsewhere, all you need is the workspace plan.

If you want to deploy your application on WeWeb Cloud, with or without the WeWeb backend, you need the WeWeb Cloud plan as well.

Ok, understood.

Two more questions -

  • On the cloud plans there is a line for File Storage with which you get 500MB on the Free plan and 0 on the Front-End only plan. Does this File Storage refer to assets like media, etc? If not, to what does it refer?
  • How do you subscribe/upgrade/downgrade with cloud plans?
