🔎 Anakin web scraping and Cloudflare R2 storage

Hey there!

This week’s updates bring two new connections to explore, plus a round of improvements and bug fixes.

Let’s get into it :backhand_index_pointing_down:

:magnifying_glass_tilted_right: New integration: Anakin for web scraping

Pull content from web pages straight into your backend workflows with the new Anakin integration. No more setting up HTTP requests to a scraping service.

Give it one URL or up to 10, and get back the page as text, its links and images, an AI summary, or only the fields you ask for, like a product name and price.

Here’s how you can use it in your app:

  • Price tracking: Combine it with scheduled tasks to check product pages every morning and save the prices.
  • Lead research: Pull a company’s description from its website when a new lead signs up.

To get started, follow the setup steps in our docs.

:cloud: Store files with Cloudflare R2, not only AWS

Connecting your own file storage is no longer limited to AWS S3. You can now connect Cloudflare R2, or any other storage service that works with S3, and keep your app’s files where you want them.

Uploads, downloads and public or private files work the same way they do with AWS S3.

:lady_beetle: Other Improvements & Bug fixes

  • Safe mode - If a coded component ever keeps your project from opening, safe mode can now switch coded components off so you can get back in and fix it.
  • Canvas drag and resize - Move elements within repeated cards or lists, and resize centered elements with handles that follow your cursor.
  • AI-generated file workflows - Workflows built by WeWeb AI and MCP handle the file contents returned by storage actions correctly.
  • AI-generated table workflows - Insert rows and Get rows actions accept requests from WeWeb AI and MCP when optional fields are left out.
  • Stripe checkout - Checkout fields are validated for the selected mode, and WeWeb AI and MCP receive the matching field requirements for hosted or embedded checkout.
  • Dropdowns - Short dropdown lists stay positioned below the field when there’s room, even on scrollable pages. Clicking outside triggers the field’s workflow, including after reselecting the same option.
  • Mapbox maps - Your app can display Mapbox Studio designs based on Mapbox’s newer Standard style.
  • Publishing database changes - Improved compatibility with pgvector and custom SQL functions when publishing changes while keeping your existing production data.
  • Legacy Supabase plugin - Updated SDK and fixed “On Realtime Presence” workflow trigger. Toggle “Listen presence” on and republish your app to apply the fix.

Enjoy the update, and tell us what you think :raising_hands:
