Here’s what the team released today.

Connect your WeWeb apps to Anthropic, Gemini, and OpenAI

You can now add AI features to your WeWeb apps faster than ever thanks to the new “AI Gateway” panel:

  • Switch easily between AI models to suit your specific needs
  • Save time with intuitive workflow actions (text generation, image generation, embed text)
  • Use different keys in different environments
  • Monitor AI usage and costs in a dedicated panel

Twilio and Make arrive in WeWeb

WeWeb now connects to Twilio and Make out of the box:

  • Twilio: send text messages, make phone calls, and verify phone numbers from your app.
  • Make: trigger your Make scenarios straight from your WeWeb workflows.

You can use both in your workflows, and WeWeb’s AI can set them up for you.

WeWeb’s AI (and MCP) can do more for you

WeWeb’s AI assistant and the WeWeb MCP connection can now handle much more of the building for you:

  • WeWeb AI (and MCP) can now interact with the Supabase, Airtable, Make, and Twilio integrations.
  • Read and update your project’s files, images, and stored assets.
  • Install and manage your project’s fonts and icons.
  • Ask you quick clarifying questions when a request could go more than one way, so it builds the right thing the first time.

We also fixed a range of smaller issues so the AI builds more reliably: coded components keep their local context, variables, and styles; generated links and bindings are more robust; and pages create correctly even when no language is set.

Better handling of environments and usage limits

Before, when copying a project’s content between environments (for example when publishing), you could only copy database tables. Now, you also have the option to migrate your files and images, reducing manual work immensely.

We’ve also improved how you can monitor and control your backend usage:

  • As a project approaches its usage limits, you now receive clear email notifications at 75%, at 90%, and if you go over.
  • Your plan stays as you set it and, on plans that include overage, your project keeps running if it goes over, with the extra usage simply billed.
  • We’ve improved the monitoring panel in-app so you can easily see where you’re at, project per project:
