AI token usage is rather high (simple questions - simple context)

Two questions:

  1. The AI token usage seemed to be displayed in the left lower part of the dashboard (just after logging in). Now it just very quickly appears, and now I can only see it in “Plans & Billing” is that intended?

  2. I re-newed my plan and got my used tokens reset. Great. Then I tried a (to me) very simple question:

“Create an input field with only one editiable line. It must automatically grow the line, when the user presses enter.”

Which produced almost the wanted result, however not quite. I then tried:

“The user must not be able to change formatting, e.g. changing text to bold/italic or insert links.”

As this didn’t make any changes to the result, I tried with a third clarifying statement:

“It is still possible to change formatting via keyboard, this must not be possible.”

Still not giving the wanted result, so I gave up. I asked the question in context of a page only with an empty section and I discovered my AI tokens usage accelerated from 0 to 496.000!

Is it me or is that a high number? Is it because I’m in a project with many pages (+30) - if yes, is it better just to have a dummy project for asking AI questions in?

That has been my experience also after asking two simple questions. 261k tokens out of 1M. So I guess that means I can ask 8 simple questions a month…

I also found that the usage is very high, with simple questions it uses a very big number of tokens. Also its unclear what will be the usage of each command. Its a great point of improvment

Same experience. I find I never use the AI because it’s so costly per response. On top of that, about 2/3rds of the time it does not actually do what I want, so prompting gets super expensive. If the devs are wondering why usage is not as high as expected this is why
