Xano Realtime with the new Xano Integration

Need some clarification from the team on Xano Realtime and the native Xano integration.

I’ve spent a fair amount of time trying to get this working and want to make sure I’m not missing something obvious.

Here’s what I’ve already tested:

  • Using the native Xano integration (not the legacy plugin)
  • Reviewing the current WeWeb and Xano documentation
  • Attempting to configure the Xano realtime connection/canonical hash through the available integration settings
  • Attempting to pass it through global headers
  • Looking for the previously available realtime actions/triggers/functions that existed in the Xano plugin

What I’m finding is:

  • The native integration does not appear to expose the realtime functionality that was available through the plugin.
  • The only way I’ve found to access those realtime functions is by enabling the legacy Xano plugin.
  • Using the native integration alone, I have not found a way to configure Realtime that actually works.

Before I spend more time chasing this, can someone confirm one of the following:

  1. Xano Realtime is fully supported in the native integration today, and I’m missing a specific configuration step.
  2. Xano Realtime is not currently supported in the native integration, and the legacy plugin is still required.
  3. Realtime support is planned but not yet implemented.

I just need to understand whether what I’m trying to do is currently supported by the native integration or not.

Hi @EvilHIdden :waving_hand:

You’re not missing anything. The new Xano integration does not support realtime at the moment.

Realtime support is planned but not yet implemented. We don’t have an ETA yet. For now, I’d recommend implementing polling if the use cases allows or using the Xano plugin if realtime is crucial.

PS: Apologies for the confusion, I’ll create a ticket to add clear warnings in the docs and product.
