Will it be able to handle form input (toggle for example) in collection’s repeated elements?

Table wish list:

  • Drag and re-order columns
  • Drag and resize column width
  • Pin column(s)
  • Enable/disable (hide) columns
  • Click on column header to apply filter

@Micah created a sweet table that is worth looking at as well!

Hey @luka -

Can you confirm if drag and re-order columns will be a feature in the new table? That alone will determine if I wait vs. implement AG Grid.

Reordering columns yes, but it might be only possible with actions in the first release so maybe the drag part won’t be there

All will be included, but as I said maybe the drag part will be missing from the first version so you are going to do it with workflows

Yes, you are going to be able to put anything you like as a cell, both in read-only and edit mode.

Thanks for the suggestion, I’m going to look into how we can do this.

The development should be done by the end of November, after that we will probably have a testing period with anyone willing to try it out. So I would expect it to be there early December

I may have missed it, but with being able to put anything in a cell, will that be viable option for the pattern to use a vertical menu icon on the last column with a pop up action menu?

I’m working around this by using a row of action buttons above the table and requiring the user to make a single selection in certain cases.

Why build a single, advanced table module when AI can build you everything instead?

In all seriousness, like so many here, I am not committing to building new complex tables until this table module is launched! So an update in 2024 would be great.

We are currently focusing on our AI efforts and with that we had to take some time to think about how the AI will interact with tables and data grids. I have all of you in mind and will post an update as soon as I have one. Regardless, data grid is still one of our biggest priorities, the only question is how we’re going to implement it

Hi @luka Any further idea on the roadmap for this? :slight_smile: It’s also becoming important for our use-cases and it would be a shame building now on soon to be deprecated components and having to readjust everything later again.
