I wanted to ask if some questions in regards to pricing:

I am a university student and I have found that WeWeb is by far the best choice for my applications, however, I am pre-revenue on many of my apps, and it’s quite pricey to be using WeWeb for us students, I probably know 30+ friends who are using different no-code solutions other than WeWeb just because of the pricing. Is there any plans to introduce a student/uni discount? I know Xano and most other platforms have this already, and I would love to share the word that WeWeb has the same!

I see that Roles & Permissions is only available on the Scale plan. It’s a little frustrating, as it’s the only additional featue that I must have for my application - and it’s almost a 4x price increase just to get that 1 additional feature. Do you have any future plans of giving more flexibility to the pricing?
I can imagine that it must be many customers having to look for WeWeb alternatives as usually every web application requires a regular user and a admin/superuser of some sort. (bonus question - is there a work around for this that anyone know of)?

As for the workaround for roles, you can limit what users see with conditional rendering, and limit what users can do based on roles on the backend (at least Supabase works like this with RLS).
As for limiting access to the pages - this one is the biggest pain in the ass, you can’t do much, as you can’t interfere with routing. You can check on page load for role, and if the user is not allowed to see the page, redirect them, in terms of UX - so the users don’t see a disabled, not working page. You still have to limit this on your backend, so you don’t leave the “client side vector of attack” open to be exploited.
Unfortunately, this is not how it’s meant to be handled, and it’s very let’s say ugly, in terms of UX, as it flickers sometimes. This you can limit with a preloader of some sort, until the page is loaded.
Roles are the biggest pain point for us as users, but I think it also is a big driver of income for WeWeb, as people who need it will buy it. So I understand the most likely business point behind it. Still sucks to be unable to handle it properly.
