WeWeb AI - Constructive feedback from a rookie user

Hi Team,
I would like to congratulate on the new WeWeb 3.0.

Thinks I love:
-Deploy a website for free
-Use WeWeb IA as a Daily driver
-Stability

As Im starting using more and more, I would like to share with you some uses you may fine tunning to increase engagement and workflow speed from users!
Let me know if you need further details on that I can help you with!

  • Missing token usage counter in the Essential plan
Currently, the Essential plan does not display a token usage counter, unlike the Free plan. Adding a visible counter would improve transparency and help users better manage their token consumption.
  • Timeout for Copilot
When Copilot gets stuck in a ā€œthinkingā€ state, there is no defined timeout. This can result in long waiting times, forcing users to refresh the page manually. Introducing a timeout would enhance the user experience and provide clarity on failed token requests that should not be charged.
  • Shortcut for switching between [Preview/Edition mode]
The shortcut for toggling between [Preview/Edition mode] seems to not work on Mac/Chrome. Fixing this issue would greatly benefit users who frequently switch modes, significantly boosting productivity.
  • Custom component editing
The Copilot does not allow controlled editing of custom components directly based on the files. Enabling this functionality would provide users with better control and flexibility in their workflows.
  • Additional optional tags for posts in the community
In the community post creation process, I’d suggest adding more optional tags, especially for AI, to provide better context or make searching by topics easier. Currently, with over 3,000 posts in the forums, it’s quite complicated to filter by topics of interest.

@Raphael Please find some feedback that will speed a lot with I guess not much effort from your team.
Appreciate your product improvement during last weeks!

Please congratulate the team effort on that!

You need to click into the canvas for it to work. (Works for me on Mac - Arc)

hey @Rizky thanks for taking the time to put this together, much appreciated!

Great feedback:

  1. Since your are on a paid plan now, your token usage count can be seen in your dashboard, in the ā€œPlans & billingā€ tab. We are also thinking about adding an in-app usage counter. It’s not planned for now, but I’m pretty sure we’ll add it at some point this year.
  2. Yes, that’s a good idea. I’ll create a ticket for that.
  3. See @Broberto’s answer, let us know if it doesn’t work.
  4. Yes, 100%. We are developing this feature now and it should be in production around Wednesday next week. Excited to see how you will use it.
  5. We just opened a position for another customer care engineer to join us. This person will have a strong focus on the community and a part of his/her role will be to improve its organization. I’d like to leave that to him/her, so we’ll wait until that person joins us! If you think about anyone, here is the link to the job offer: Customer Care Engineer

Thanks again for your feedback!
