Using Roles and Permissions to gate content within pages

Hi,

I’m using Auth0 plugin and am wondering how I apply user group to control access on individual controls/components on a page?

I see there is a tutorial, but this is for gating content at the page level, not within pages. For example I want to deactivate a button for usergroup-1 not usergroup-2.
