Pre-launch sneak peek: Iconic Design Library

I’ve been working on a design library for WeWeb and wanted to share an early version with the community.

The goal is to make it easier to build polished, consistent interfaces, whether you’re designing manually or using AI to build your applications.

One of the key things I’m working towards is AI compatibility.

Rather than having AI generate new UI from scratch every time using the WeWeb MCP, the library is designed to give AI a collection of existing components it can use to build new screens and extend designs more consistently.

You can also customize the foundation to match your brand, giving you a design system that feels like your product rather than a generic template.

And if you prefer building things yourself, you still get a reusable collection of components and patterns to speed up your workflow.

You can explore the current version here:

I’d love to get your feedback before the official launch!

  • What do you think of the components so far?

  • What components or patterns would you like to see added?

  • How would you use an AI-compatible design library in your WeWeb workflow?

It’s still a work in progress, and I’m looking forward to seeing what we can build with it.

Hey @iconic !
Amazing library! Love the App components section.

One thing that I’m mindful when using component is to check if they are keyboard accessible. Which is unfortunately not the case for some native weweb components.

I can see this be useful for projects where there is no mockups or for fast prototyping.

Keep up the great work :fire:

Glad you like it. Noted! i would work on that.

The goal is to help people create better looking designs, especially during prototyping. Even with the MCP, generating quality UI still takes time and depends heavily on your design experience. These components provide a collection of quality design references that you can use directly in your projects, making it easier to create polished interfaces without having to start from scratch every time.
