Hi! I’m trying to use the new functionality of { “type”: “json_object” } in the WeWeb OpenAI API Plugin. Is there a way to do that? Seems like there’s tons of flexibility to most functionalities but i cant influence this one.
Thanks!

Hi, I think we need to implement it on our side, as the request to OpenAI API is made on our servers to secure your API KEY.
I will create a ticket and see if we can add this feature
In the meantime, if you need it for experimentation purpose, you can use our REST API plugin and make the call yourself.
It should be for testing purpose only as it would make your api key publicly available on your front end.
You could also make the calls through a third party like Fastgen, this way you protect your API keys without the need to wait for WeWeb to implement this. I think they even have a no-code function that supports OpenAI API.
thanks! It would be great if you could add to the ticket the ability to choose my own model name. I fine-tuned a model that i want you reach out to, and right now i’m limited to a predefined list of models which you guys have to constantly update…
Did this ever get implemented? I don’t see it. I think the JSON format type is crucial for AI apps.
Not yet, but we added the possibility to bind a custom model name and made the list of your models available
I asked the team to see if we can priorise it
You can try to push it by submitting on feedback.weweb.io
