Is there a way via WeWeb or plugin to preview various microsoft or google file types directly in app? For context, the purpose would be to allow people to view a document and make comments/ suggest revisions in a sidebar chat.

That depends on what you’re trying to do. Usually, places that allow you to embed their video/file/GIF, whatever, will have a Share button.
When you click on it, they will usually have an Embed button. If you click on that, you’ll have the code to embed.
In WeWeb, you can simply paste the code you copied from whatever source you’re working with, inside the HTML box of the HTML element.
