I cannot figure out the “Import and Edit” part of the starter kit components. It always asks if I want to “Swap all existing instances”, but I don’t know what that means. Whether I choose to transfer or not, the components disappear.
Can someone please help me understand this concept? This is by far the biggest issue holding me back.
Hi, how this basically works, is that when you use the Starter Kit, it’s mantained by someone else, e.g WeWeb in this case. When you want to edit it at the source, you’d need to have access to the WeWeb’s workspace and edit it, then publish the Library and it would reflect to everyone who uses that library. So it only makes sense, that you Import & Edit this only in your project, meaning that it’s now your component and you are in charge of what happens with it. The Swap all instances should swap all instances of the Starter Kit component to this your new independent component, if this doesn’t happen, you can report it at support.weweb.io
