So i have this issue with the text:
“By continuing you agree to our user agreement and knowledge that you understand the Privacy Policy.”
i want “user agreement“ and “privacy policy“ to be as links of different color. I don’t want the text to be separated in 3 items and i want it to be as whole paragraph. The Ai Suggested to add it into the formula as plain html with a href.
The problem is that i can’t define globally Links styles. i tried to set that in the Custom code - but its not picking up those style or maybe i’m doing something wrong.
Then i tried to create separate CSS file, place link styles there and then upload into the Files, copy link to that styles file and then insert in custom code as - still not working… so i’m out of options pls advice.
P.S. separate words with link class are working good but i can’t apply classes in the html (in formula box)
I think an easy solution is to use different text elements, in this example I used 4 text elements and I customized the ones I wanted to become colored links.
I put them all into a Div and set it as horizontal direction with some column gap:
Hi @Bycadavr are you familiar with a bit of JS (or just use the weweb AI to help you make it since you already use it)
Now go to the actions tab and create a new formula call it “formatText“ and then give the AI the instruction to “make me a javascript formula that takes in the following parameters - text, color, underline (boolean), bold (boolean), linkUrl. The formula applies the color, styling, and appends the link url if they are present in the input along with the text”. That’s all. The AI will make the formula for you (I suppose it can) if it fails holla, I’ll paste a code snippet here, but I think the AI should be good they said it’s been improved. So once the AI does that, you then use the formula to wrap any segment of text you want to format anytime you need in-line formatting. That’s how I did in my project and this was long before AI was a thing many years ago, so I assume now it should even be easier to do. Cheers.
hey @AgentD, no i’m not good at deveolping, i’m a designer, that’s why i decided to try and create my personal project with weweb and honestly i haven’t tried fully the built in AI helper since i’m on started plan for now. trying to figure out if weweb is a right thing for me for now. But i know the html/css (been coding back in 2003-2010). i will try the Ai workaround you mentioned, i was just thinking there should be some easier more obvious way of setting a link globally. anyway, thank you.
