How to add a background image through multiple sections?

I am trying to create a background design element that covers multiple sections.

How do I do that?

Current situation: When I place an image within a section, it only stays inside this section.

What I`m trying to achieve is a background image that is not limited by a section (design from Figma).

Easiest way would be to simply use one section and have “sub” sections inside, you’d apply the image to the one section. These kind of things are a little tricky, if you really wanna “fit this” over many sections, I suggest using “rem” units, or some other relative units.
