How does the dropdown work?

I cannot configure the dropdown properly, this is different than the video in the Academy and also the documentation is not complete.

What I want is:

  • To be able to have a dynamic dropdown, I don’t want to show the options all the time, only when the user clicks on it.
  • To change the options of the dropdown
  • To have it as a variable, so I can send the information to Xano, when I go to the workflow I see the other fields but not the dropdown.

I think this is really easy but for my inexperience, I’m finding it complicated, this is a video of what I’ve done:

Hi Gaby.

the dropdown element creates a button that “shows” and “hides” the choices section.
I think you ended up deleting this button without realizing.

I recommend instead that you use the “Select” element that has a toggable list inside of itself.

I’m attaching an image so you can see what I mean, Red is the dropdown and blue is the select element

Thanks, I think when I was changing the style of the button I must have erased or changed something.

I tried with the select option you mentioned, and that was exactly what I needed.
