How do I prevent weweb-hosted redirect errors when setting cloudflare dns settings to proxied? (Weweb clouflare workers tutorial)

To overcome Weweb’s lack of seo-friendly meta title and descriptions functionality, I’m following @Slavo 's cloudflare cloud worker method to inject meta title, description, and image tags into a website. For cloudflare workers to work it seems that the site must be proxied by cloudflare. Video

The worker is deployed and associated with the right domain and has triggered successfully multiple times.

However when the domain name dns settings are changed from “dns only” to “proxied” the browser brings up a too many redirects error.

This leads me to believe that the whole tutorial video series is based on a wrong assumption and isn’s a feasible solution or that there’s an issue with the how weweb is dealing with a project’s domain settings.

@flo any ideas?

This page isn’t working

website redirected you too many times.

Hi @davhad :wave:

Apologies for the late reply. The worker has been updated but we haven’t re-recorded the videos to reflect that change yet.

Here’s a video of Flo explaining the changes.

Does that help or do you still have the issue?

Hi @Joyce! I hope all is well.

@jjunior from our team reviewed that video (and @greg also tried to implement this at the beginning of August). However, we’re still without luck.

JJ left some additional questions about this here.
