Hosting plan : explanation

Hello,

I’m preparing the launch of my Web app and I’m a bit confused with weweb plans. I subscribed to a seat plan and I understand now I need a hosting plan to deploy under my domain name.

Yet one thing is unclear to me (see screenshot). a hypothetical scenario :

let’s say v1 is live for real customers and I bring small changes to users by directly modifying V1 and deploy from the editor.

Now let’s say I prepare a totally new version with new features etc that is the v2. When ready I want to rollout to users, replacing v1.

Do I need a hosting plan for v1 and v2 here?

Thank you for your guidance

Hi @MrUnfreeze :waving_hand:

If you want both projects to be online at the same time, then yes, you’ll need two hosting plans.

If you want to unpublish project A and publish project B, then you’ll need to cancel your hosting plan on project A, purchase a hosting plan on project B, and update the CNAME records to ensure project B is connected to the domain name you want.

Does that make sense?

Hi @Joyce

Thanks, very clear. I was planning to get a yearly subscription. I’m such a case, is the process the same or can I reach out to support so that they transfer the plan from A to B?

Thanks

I’m not sure what the best process would be in that case. I don’t think it’s possible for us to transfer a plan from A to B. Can you contact support and check with them?

Hello! Plans are not transferable between projects. If you want two apps live you will need to separate plans.
