I’m encountering issues with the “Send an email” action in my workflow:
When using dynamic data in the Recipients field, I was initially getting a 500 Internal Server Error.
I even tried hardcoding the recipient emails (example: avisri2003@gmail.com``,test2@example.com), but now I’m consistently getting a 403 Forbidden error.
All required fields (recipients, subject, content) are filled. I also checked for formatting and tested with both formula-based and hardcoded inputs.
My email plugin/API integration appears to be set up, but I’m not sure if there’s an authentication, rate limit, or plan-level issue on my account.
Can you please help me understand:
What can cause a 403 error on the “Send an email” action even with hardcoded recipients?
Is there anything specific I need to check in the plugin configuration or account settings?
Are there any known limits or restrictions I might be hitting?
Here’s a screenshot of my workflow setup and error details for reference.
Thanks in advance!
For free projects, the current limit is set to 0, that’s why you may see a rate limit message. This safeguard is in place to help prevent misuse of our email plugin. For more flexibility, please use https://resend.com/
I checked with my team and confirmed that we are on the Professional Plan, which includes all functionalities and services from WeWeb.
However, I couldn’t find any mention in the documentation that the email plugin is not available under this plan.
At the moment, our decision-making members are unavailable, so I won’t be able to allocate the budget right away.
Would it be possible for you to arrange a 15-day trial of the email plugin? This would help me demonstrate its value to my seniors and make it easier to convince them to upgrade or extend the plan once they are available.
