After the latest WeWeb editor update, existing text bindings/formulas on text elements are no longer visible or editable from the right panel.
Dynamic text still renders correctly on the canvas, so the bindings themselves still work. However, when selecting a text element, the UI only shows “Click text to edit”, and clicking the binding icon appears to create a new binding instead of opening the current existing formula.
This makes it impossible to inspect or modify existing text formulas without risking overwriting them.
Was the access method changed in the new UI, or is this a bug?
Hello @Joyce , I tried, but they asked me to recreate all the formulas instead, which I can’t do because I have many collections and binding logic. It would mean rethinking the whole logic from scratch.
I’m actually stuck right now when it comes to scaling and maintaining my project.
Support’s asnwer:
"Hi, did you manage to recreate the formula, and did it disappear again? If it did, we’ll investigate further to confirm whether this is caused by a bug on our end.
Otherwise, as my colleague informed you, there’s unfortunately not much more we can do from our side. Recreating the formula is the quickest workaround."
Ok, I’m thinking that might be leading to the issue. Could you try adding back /en to your app and page? No need to remove /fr. I’d just like to see if adding back /en fixes the binding.
