We’ve sharpened WeWeb’s AI capabilities, rebuilt the Popups system, and made it easier to manage workflows.

We’re now using the Claude Sonnet 3.7 model for better UI generation, smarter suggestions, and better support for advanced workflows.

Working with JavaScript also got easier, even for non-coders. Hover over any UID to see what it does, and convert JavaScript logic to no-code workflows or formulas in one click.

And that’s not all!

:fire: Meet the new Popups system

Starting today, Popups have their own dedicated section in the WeWeb Editor, right between Layout and Data.

You can now manage all your Popups in one place. Edit, reuse and organize them globally, instead of hunting them down in pages and nested elements:

:sparkles: Trigger Popups From Anywhere

Trigger any Popup from any page using workflows. Simply look for the “Open popup” action in the workflow editor and select which Popup you want to trigger:

:counterclockwise_arrows_button: Same Workflows, Better Structure

Integrating workflows into your app is now more straightforward!

:small_blue_diamond: The Actions tab has been renamed to Logic and it gives you access to all your project’s global workflows.

:small_blue_diamond: No more setting up the “Execute workflow” action. You can now search and click on any listed workflow to instantly view and jump into it.

:small_blue_diamond: You now have a dedicated Component workflows section for better structure and separation.

So all of the dialogs I recently finished converting over from the original modals need to refactored again into the new popup component?

Right?! I’m half way through converting and stumbled across these new popups. I’m sure I’ll be grateful for this in the near future, but the sting of rework is too fresh.

I don’t see anything on how adding a modal from the Basic menu of elements and adding a modal from the Popups tab are different. I wonder if the former should be removed to force use of modals through the Popups. Also, the Popups tab shows no knowledge of existing modals and wish it would have.

The new updates are excellent, logic with modals is much better this way.
I wish it was possible to add this property like in the dialog, in secondary cases it doesn’t make sense to block user interactions in my case

Is there any performance benefit using the new Popups system vs having them inside a Multi-page section?

Hello! the old loader doesn’t show above new popups. It is an important feature because it helps to prevent user interaction (in example, when saving changes). Could you review it, please?

Where is the toggele or execute an action in an opened popup already ?

Can we guys have the ability to expose workflows or values outside the instance, we can’t find them and can’t even run by the JS for the workflow id
