Feature request: Force display in editor for all elements

I think I’ve entered this in product roadmap, but this would be a huge help!

Right now, if you have an element that has its display tied to a formula, you need to either edit the formula to make it true, or unbind the formula to display the element. This is a big hassle and creates room for error in editing formulas or copy/pasting them just to show an element.

On any element that has a display property, there should be a toggle to force display in editor, just like modals have. emphasized text

I agree. I always copy the formula, unbind, make adjustments to the layout of the element in the editor, then re-bind the formula by pasting it again. This can get tedious if playing with multiple elements at the same time. For multiple adjustments, I have to use the [Windows+V] shortcut to access past formulas that are saved in my clipboard’s history - not ideal.

Agree.

I’ve just been having the same challenge. I thought it would be taken as expected/consistent behaviour with the modal element.

Please add to roadmap

Hi,

Is this already possible in Weweb?

I notice that finding elements in the editor takes too much time when their conditional rendering or display is turned off.

Thanks!

you can force display using conditional rendering, you cant with using display, and there is no show all. There is also a little eye icon in the layout tab so you can see what are shown and hidden that can help you find the correct element.

Hi @sam1 - the eye icons are not visible if that element is tucked away in another element. You first need to manually open all elements to find those eye icons. That’s a tedious process, perhaps another way would be to have an option to expand the whole elements-tree in Weweb.
