Component Variables. How to access?

I’m trying to create a multi-page form and am using one of the web pre-built templates.

When I click into the instance, I can see ‘From Component’, but from the main view, I can’t see this.

I don’t understand why, and then how this is different and how to use that data.

Sorry if that’s a lot, but it would be great to be pointed in the right direction.

You can only access that variable value since it’s exposed from the component, but you cannot edit it as it is setup inside the component
