Changing the state of a card while it is being dragged

I am trying to change the the state of a card element within either a stackable list or KanBan while it is being dragged.

To be more specific, I am not to concerned with the card being held by the cursor.

I want to change the state of the card that is showing where the card will be dropped.

Is this example I want to change the 3rd item opacity until the card is dropped.
