# Variable data resetting when switching to a new page

Hi, I have a workflow which copies the output of my json into a variable based on a button click. In the workflow I run the test and I can see the data in the variable. When I open a new page and try do the binding to a component, the variable data has been reset.

Solved - Ok needed to set preserve on navigation.
