# Tracking your WeWeb app with Google Tag Manager

Hey people 👋

Let’s face it, tracking what your users are doing on your app gives you an incredible edge over your competitors.

It helps you tailor your app according to what your users **really** do on your app.

_But tracking is hard, and shouldn’t be._

As a marketer that loves technical challenges and tracking stuff, I’ve found a nice trick I wanted to share to you.

I’ve recorded a video to explain how to do it in WeWeb:

The main idea is that elements you save to your app’s design system are also saved with custom interactions, like tracking.

So, **when you save a button with tracking embedded to your design system, it will come back with tracking every time you add it to your app.**

No need to think about tracking buttons or adding classes anymore 🙌

Since we added the Workflows, instead of using the “Tracking” setting in the video above, you’ll need to add a Workflow on the button with an On click trigger and custom JavaScript action:
