I have a collection list. I have placed a “select” dropdown in the collection list. The goal is that the user be able to edit a field of that item in the collection. I can place the dropdown component and I can run a workflow on it upon change, but I cannot access the value the user selects. I can’t find it in the “From Components in Current Page” in the variables menu when trying to bind it to the workflow. Am I missing something? ---

When inputs are in a repeated element (collection list, columns ecc) you need to keep track of the values (in your case the selected values) using variables and workflows. [This guide](https://community.weweb.io/t/are-form-variables-not-visible-while-the-form-is-in-a-collection-item/1138/6) explains how to do it. [This example](https://community.weweb.io/t/checkboxes-within-a-collection-list/1379/3) is similar, but using checkboxes. You can adapt the sam principle to work with the select or any other input. ---
