# Partial updating

Hello 👋  
I’m doing a Partial Update of an object but all items update on check except the first one which replaces the whole variable. Where can the problem come from?

Are you sure you’re using the same partial update workflow on all checkboxes?

I used the checkbox in the collection, everything works fine except the first item which replaces the whole variable instead of changing only the display.  
I used a custom checkbox to have more flexibility.
