# Linking your domain to your website

Please could you help.  
I followed the instructions from the video on how to link the weweb application to a domain but its not working.

I was able to add the SSL certification CNAME option, but

the 2nd DNS entry said I need to add a longer name than “www”.

Any suggestions?

Hi @marcosvbi 👋

That sounds like something specific to how your domain registrar handles CNAME records.

I would suggest:

- trying to type in the full subdomain + domain name so, for example `www.domainname.io`
- contacting the domain registrar to ask them what values they expect in CNAME record fields.
