I have a client who is considering doing a big build using WeWeb, however they have the following concerns:

1. How does WeWeb handle performance when there is high traffic? (Assuming the app is built with optimization in mind)
2. How does WeWeb handle bad actors with traffic such as DDOS attacks?
3. Is there a status page to show WeWeb’s uptimes? Something to give them peace of mind that downtime is minimal and in the rare event that is happens it’s usually resolved quickly?

Thanks!

Hello, I think these are questions that @Slavo will be able to answer 100%. As far as I know (as per my knowledge):

1. WeWeb handles high traffic well, I’ve had some high traffic apps (ticketing portals etc.) and it never let me down.
2. As far as I know there is no Status page, you could run Betterstack on your app and it should be the same. The downtime is minimal indeed. WeWeb had a big infra upgrade in the last year.

Good to know, thank you!

@Slavo - any insight on how WeWeb handles unwanted high traffic and DDOS attacks?

Hi Reuben,

1. The app is deployed to CloudFront which does the autoscaling automatically. So if CloudFront can handle it, your app will be fine, if not, you need your own cloud.

2. We do - and that is all I will say, you understand why 🙂

3. There isn’t one, there will be one, it is on the roadmap.
