Hello, I want to use a basic text element to display dates, but I need the dates to appear in French. Unlike other date components, I don’t see an option to set the language to French. Is there a method to do this?

Hi @alexlem 👋

Have you tried the `formatDate` formula on the text element:

Here are the [docs on the topic](https://docs.weweb.io/formulas/date.html#formatdate).

Does that help?

Hello @Joyce, thank you, it’s working! Before, I was using the date text component and didn’t find a way to change its language to French, like we could see in the date selector components.

However, using a standard text element combined with the formatDate function solved the issue - thanks!

Just a suggestion for the Weweb team: It would be really helpful if the date text component could automatically match the language of the page, just like the date picker component does.

Great idea! Just created the product ticket so the team can explore it.
